Base metals closed up an average 0.6 percent yesterday with lead up the most with a 1.1 percent gain, tin was up 0.6 percent, aluminium, nickel and zinc were up 0.5 percent and copper lagged with a 0.1 percent gain to $4,938.50 – copper remains the only base metal still to overcome its March peak.
