Metals hold up well, but resistance appears strong

Base metals were mixed yesterday with copper, aluminium and lead falling, with copper closing one percent lower at $4,872, while nickel led on the upside with a one percent gain to $10,740, zinc was up 0.7 percent and tin was up 0.1 percent.
